Montreal, Quebec July 18, 2004 Grafenberg duo explains hip-hop for dummies Next Saturday, the Best of the Uptown Comics, a showcase dominated by black comedians, welcomes the all-white Grafenberg All-Stars, made of Montrealers Jerome Sable and Eli Batalion, with their interpretive show Hip-Hop 4 Dummeez. These two graduates of Bialik High School and Brown University have taken radically different career paths from their investment banking classmates. Concentrating on music, theatre and comedy they have made a name for themselves at the Montreal Fringe Festival with their critically acclaimed bible-based show JOB: The Hip-Hop Musical. From all accounts, their Power-Point presentation on how to achieve hip-hopdom in three easy lessons has been a hit with both their target audience and the elder blue-hairs. "If one little old lady is bopping her head, we're happening," Sable said. The Grafenberg All-Stars take their name from the doctor who discovered the G-Spot, in case you were wondering. They're both 23. Best of the Uptown Comics, Saturday, July 24 at 8 and 11 p.m. at Le Spectrum. Tickets $27.50 (plus taxes and service charges) at Ticketpro. Call (514) 908-9090. — Anne Sutherland
